Designed by Patrick Dawson and opened in 1995, Standish Court Golf Club may still have quite a young golf course, but in the nine years or so it has been enjoyed by golfers, it has matured greatly and is now one of the finest in Lancashire. It is situated only miles from the busy little town of Wigan, perhaps more famous for Rugby League than golf, but underestimate it your peril - this course has had players of all standards on their knees in frustration.
