It was here in 1898 that the Stableford scoring system was first tried by its creator Dr Frank Stableford, a member of the Glamorganshire. The par 70 - 6148 yards course, enjoys stunning views over the Severn estuary. It is an 18 hole parkland course on undulating ground on the outskirts of Penarth, near Cardiff, and with narrow wood lined fairways, well guarded greens and water hazards, it offers a fair test to golfers at all levels"
