The tree lined fairways are generous and greens offer a large target though well protected by strategically placed bunkers. Since the club was founded in 1889 Disley Golf Club has hosted both local and national events establishing it as one of the leading courses in the area; these events bear testimony to the esteem in which the course is held. Disley is now a course offering a pleasant environment in which to spend a few hours away from the hurly-burly of working life. The course has given much pleasure over the last hundred years and will continue to do so well into the future. The following rules must be adhered to: * Golf shirts must have collars * Shorts must be tailored and not more than 2" above the knee * Shorts must be worn with either knee length socks of any colour, or sports socks which are predominantly white * Shorts are not allowed in the clubhouse after 8pm * Trousers tucked into socks or shirts worn outside trousers are not allowed. * Beachwear, denim clothing, athletic vests, track suits, sports "training" type shoes, jeans or trousers with "rivets" are not allowed. * Smart casual wear may be worn at all times within the clubhouse. * Any member of staff or any Director of the club has the authority to deal with any infringement of the dress code.
